The insurance misuses are performed to obtain
unjust income or to inflate artificially the losses by
means of concealing the facts in incidences where
the insurance companies are not obliged to pay
compensations i.e. a deliberate and organized act
of fraud. Thus, the insurance misuse practices are
handled as serious crimes by the judicial system.
The Turkish insurance industry is one of the areas
through which these criminals are keen to reach
great amounts of liquid money and accordingly
performmany insurance misuse acts.
Under this coverage, it is important to generate an
awareness of not only the industry but also of the
public in general. The fact that insurance misuse
is an official crime should be communicated to
each person in the society and clear description
of the crime should be understood by all the
stakeholders.
SİSEB (Office for Prevention of the Insurance
Frauds) has designed a micro web site through
which the society shall be informed about such
insurance misuses and frauds.

Sigorta suistimalleri; haksız kazanç elde etmek
veya hasarları büyütmek amacıyla sigorta
şirketlerinin tazmin yükümlülüğü bulunmayan
hasarlarda gerçeğin gizlenmesi, kasten
ve organize olarak dolandırıcılık suretiyle
gerçekleşmekte olup sözü edilen eylemin
gerçekleştirilmesi hali yargıda suç sayılmaktadır.
Türkiye’de sigortacılık sektörü, hak edilmeyen
hasarları tazmin edebilmek amacıyla likit para
akışının iştah kabarttığı ve suistimal yapan kişilerin
yoğunlaştığı sektörlerden biridir.
Bu konu ile ilgili olarak sigorta sektörünün yanı
sıra kamuoyunun da bilinçlenmesi ve sigorta
suistimalinin suç olduğu mesajının her kesime
ulaştırılması, suç olduğu algısının betimlenmesi
önem teşkil etmektedir.

(SİSEB) bu konu ile ilgili kamuoyunun sigorta
suistimalleri ile ilgili bilginebileceği bir mikro web
