Test Processes Tracked via ALM!
In terms of software testing and quality assurance, ALM is the
major testing tool used by SBM. The analysis team saves the
requirements related to project and change requests on ALM.
Coverage maps of the requirements covered by testing scenarios,
success rates of requirements and their status can be viewed,
reported and tracked via the ALM tool.
The main function of the ALM tool is to host the test scenarios.
As the test scenarios are entered, necessary attention would be
paid to ensuring that every scenarios is linked via software
requirements. No requirement is expected to be idle or outside of
coverage. In addition additional scenarios, which are not linked
to each other but should exist as per the software development
standards should be entered in the system as well.
Error and scenario reports received via the ALM tool are the most
vital functions of the test team and hence the quality assurance
process. These reports are sent to relevant teams, which would
use them to monitor the status of the project. On the quality
assurance side, it provides input for the KPI database of unit
directorates. The faults that come out as a result of the testing
process are then sent to relevant analysts or software developers
via the ALM tool.

ALM, yazılım testleri ve kalite güvencesi açısından SBM’nin
en önemli test aracıdır. Analiz ekibi proje ve değişiklik
isteklerine ait gerekleri ALM üzerine kaydetmektedir. Test
senaryoları tarafından kapsanan gereklerin kapsama
haritaları, gereklerin başarı yüzdeleri ve durumları ALM
aracı üzerinden görüntülenebilmekte, raporlanabilmekte ve
takip edilebilmektedir.
ALM aracının ana fonksiyonu, test senaryolarını içerisinde
barındırmaktır. Test senaryoları girişi yapılırken her bir
senaryonun yazılım gerekleri ile birbirine bağlanmasına
dikkat edilir. Kesinlikle boşta kalan, kapsam dahiline
alınmamış bir gerek olmaması beklenir. Bununla beraber
gerekler ile birbirine bağlanmamış ancak yazılım geliştirme
standartlarınca olması gereken ek senaryoların da sisteme
girilmesi gerekmektedir.
ALM üzerinden alınan hata ve senaryo raporları test
ekibinin ve dolayısıyla kalite güvencesinin en hayati
fonksiyonlarındandır. Bu raporlamalar proje durumunu
takip etmek için kullanılmak üzere ilgili ekiplere
yönlendirilimektedir. Kalite güvencesi tarafında ise birim
müdürlüklerinin KPI verilerine girdi sağlamaktadır. Yazılım
testleri sürecinde ortaya çıkan kusurlar ALM üzerinden ilgili
Analist veya Yazılım Geliştirici personele gönderilir.
